Fairlie Faitrtrade Village
Following the website I created for Ferry Row B&B, I was invited to design a website for the village's Fairtrade Initiative group. The group wanted a website to promote and record the Fairtrade activities within the village, and also to create a directory of businesses that support Fairtrade in the local area.
The colour scheme was designed to be deliberately bright and bold, reflecting the colours used in (and incorporating the logo of) the Fairtrade Foundation and the village's Fairtrade Village logo.
The main purposes of this site are to:
- To provide factual information on Fairtrade in the village of Fairlie
- To record the activities of the Fairtrade Group for likeminded visitors to share in
The website features:
- a dynamic "lightbox" image gallery
- customised contact form
At Fairlie Fairtrade Initiative we were absolutely delighted with the Website created for us by Mackay Website Design. Catriona took our very pedestrian ideas and worked her magic. We were given alternative designs and formats to choose from, were guided through the whole process, advised on what would, or would not work, and at the end were thrilled with not only the way in which all our important facts found expression but also in the imaginative and practical way in which they were presented.
