Ferry Row Bed & Breakfast
Ferry Row B&B was a brand new business, run by a newly-retired lady who understood that the vast majority of people research and book holidays over the internet. The aim was to create a website that would be very functional, in terms of giving information about the rooms, the food, directions and information about the local area.
The look of the website was created using photographs taken by the owner of the B&B, and the subtle blue theme throughout the site denotes the affiliation with the Scottish tourist industry… and Kilmarnock Football Club! The navigation was designed with the intention of being clear and to the point, so that potential guests wouldn't have to look too hard to find the vital information about the B&B.
The main purposes of this site are to:
- provide factual information about the B&B, and the local visitor attractions for the area
- generate leads for offline bookings
The website features:
- a slideshow of images on the accommodation pages
- interactive map showing detailed location of the B&B, powered by Google Maps
- customised contact form
I was thrilled with my website – Catriona took my vague ideas and photographs and produced a strong yet subtle evocation of the ethos I wanted to portray in my B&B. I was consulted regularly during the development process and found her an excellent person to work with.
