Ayrshire Music Festival
The Ayrshire Music Festival's committee were keen to establish an online presence, both to promote the festival and to provide an easily accessible information hub for tutors, competitors and parents/guardians. The committee were particularly keen to have the syllabus and entry forms available as downloads, and also to provide basic timetable information online prior to the publication of the official printed programme.
The main purposes of this site are to:
- To provide factual and historical information on the Ayrshire Music Festival
- To record competition results for Ayrshire Music Festival for likeminded visitors to view
The website features:
- spry accordion widgets on the class timetable pages
- embedded "page-flipping" PDF of the music festival's syllabus, powered by issuu
- downloadable PDF resources, such as syllabus, entry form, subscriber forms etc.
- interactive maps showing detailed locations of the festival's venues, powered by Google Maps
- customised contact form
Many requirements of a website for the Ayrshire Music Festival were clear from the outset. Mackay Web Design quickly incorporated these but, more importantly, made suggestions as to how the opportunities of a website could be exploited and many of these are bearing fruit now that the website is up and running.
